Home Delivery & Coronavirus

Edit 22/03/20 – We are assessing the situation to decide how to proceed next week (we are always closed on Sundays and Mondays). Keep an eye on this page and our social media for the latest information.

Edit 21/03/20 – We are now open for takeaway and delivery only. Duly, we have extended our delivery service to being open at all times, with delivery charge at £2.50 under 2 miles and £1 per additional mile.

As a number of our customers are now self-isolating due to Coronavirus / Corvid-19 we have taken the decision to provide an exceptional home delivery service from Wednesday 18th March until further notice.

You can call us on 0116 251 3323 to place an order.

Orders that include fresh bread will need to be placed with 24 hours notice to ensure we can fulfill them. Our usual home delivery service via Deliveroo will also continue as usual with a broader menu, but without the store cupboard essentials.

Edit 21/03/20 – We are closed to sit in orders until further notice as per Government guidance.

It is business as usual in James’ Cafe Bistro at the time of writing (15/03/2020). We are keeping an eye on the government advice, but at the moment continue as normal, albeit with additional cleaning routines. We have a spacious cafe with plenty of room between tables if you are keen to practice social distancing, and a number of areas for customers to wash their hands upon arrival, before and after food and whenever else required.

Thank you for to continuing to support our small family business in these difficult times. For anyone feeling particularly isolated please reach out with our delivery menu or encourage them to come and make use of our Chatter and Natter table – you can still hold a conversation with someone and keep a sensible physical distance!

We will keep you updated if anything changes in the days and weeks to come.
